The journey of a garden
The journey of a garden starts with the journey of the house, in this case, it is attached to.
I do not know what the last 25 years blessed the gardens with other than what it looked like when we moved in at the beginning of November 2020.
It changes with owners and within ownership – no exception.
There is a therapy in getting into the garden, getting dirty and perhaps a little bloodied, removing plants and putting in new ones and making the space of the garden your own. Pushing the spade or fork in, turning the soil, trimming plants, moving them, pulling them out, seeing your version come to life.
It is a good way to work through things. I hope everyone can find something to channel their energy into. I’ve heard of 2 people in the last week, too young to pass from this world, one by his own hand. The Black Dog is around all too often, however, if we can find ways to focus our energy rather than into our phones, by getting outside, doing something physical, let’s do that, let’s make choices and live life.
For tonight, here’s cheers to the journeys, of whatever form, and that they continue with the blogs will be added to – whether they be the journey of the house and/or garden or the tarmac and dirt strips.
