3 Saturdays and good people
A lot can happen over the course of 3 Saturdays, 2 weeks and the second third of 2020 coming to an end and the third third of 2020 commencing. During that time there has been a birthday, some downtime and a couple of camping trips, only one of which features here.
We are two-thirds of the way through the year. It is going quickly, even with the restrictions that are still in place around us. These weekends have been special as they have been spent with good people, doing things we enjoy and seeing new roads and areas of our country.
I get to finish off Tourist Route 42 and do some of 23. We meet hospitable people at the Kandanga Shop – fabulous service and good food, great coffee. Country hospitality is quite different as is the attitude of campers in the RV park – we say good morning to each other. The park empties a bit as we pack up our motorbike for the return home yet it is a lovely spot, no fee.
There is a fatigue which seems to hang over me. I can’t quite pinpoint what it is or where it comes from. The camping trips are therapeutic as is the time with good people. I have been blessed with beautiful gifts from my life partner and a fabulous weekend in comfort, spent some time doing very little and explored roads that are new to us. This is what life is about – experiences.
